Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks opened with a positive trend on Thursday, the last trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, experienced upward trend.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) earned 8.52 points while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) advanced 6.41 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 8.52 points or 0.18 per cent to at 4,594.50 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 3.17 points or 0.19 per cent to stand at 1,735.85 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) rose 1.38 points or 0.12 per cent to reach at 1,108.22.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 316 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 100 advanced, 36 declined and 27 issues remained unchanged.
Alltex Industries was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 41 million changing hands followed by IT Consultants, Al-Arafa Islami Bank, BD Thai Aluminum and Premier Cement.
The port city bourse- the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX- advancing 6.41 points to stand at 8,585.46 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 27 gained, 12 declined 12 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 13 million.
