Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks opened with a positive note on Wednesday, the fourth trading session of the week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gained 7.02 points while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 18.05 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 7.02 points or 0.15 per cent to at 4,585.87 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 2.21 points or 0.12 per cent to stand at 1,754.94 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) gained 1.51 points or 0.13 percent to reach at 1,120.38 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 457 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 122 advanced, 57 declined and 31 issues remained unchanged.
Shasha Denim was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 55 million changing hands followed by BSRM Limited, Amana Feed, Regent Textiles and S Alam Cold Rolled Steels.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX – advancing 18.05 points to stand at 8,605.40 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 42 gained, 10 declined 5 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 18 million.
