Bangladesh’s stocks open positive

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed positive trend in early hours of trading on Wednesday.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went up by 29.55 points or 0.64 per cent to stand at 4,636.31 points within first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filled at 11am.

The turnover stands at BDT 909.50 million on DSE when the report was filed at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 97 advanced, 67 declined and 28 remained unchanged.

Meghna Petroleum was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 125 million changing hands till then followed by Lafarge Surma Cement, Titas Gas, Padma Oil and Heidelberg Cement.

The port city bourse – the CSE also saw positive trend at opening with its Selective Category Index --- CSCX gained 37.47 points to stand at 8,929.77 points, also at 11am.

Of the issues traded till then, 31 gained, 39 declined and 7 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 39.18 million.
