Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed positive trend in early hour of trading on Thursday, the last trading session of the week.

Both bourses — the premier bourse Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw upward trend till filed the report at 10:45am.
The key index of the DSE advanced 2.76 points, while the Selective Category Index of port city bourse gained 5.55 points within 15 minutes of the day’s trading at 10:45am.

DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 2.76 points or 0.06 percent to stand at 4,414.76 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 3.53 points or 0.20 percent to reach at 1,741.53 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also gained 1.43 points or 0.13 percent to reach at 1,087.53 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 358 million when the report was filed at 10:45am, riding on ACME Laboratories and Quasem Drycells.
Of the issues traded till then, 70 advanced, 51 declined and 56 issues remained unchanged.
ACME Laboratories dominated the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 160 million changing hands till then, followed by Quasem Drycells, AFC Agro Industries, Bangladesh Building Systems and Far Chemicals Industries.

The port city bourse CSE also saw positive trend till then with its Selective Category Index- CSCX– advancing 5.55 points to stand at 8,258.23 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 25 gained, 18 declined 15 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 30 million.
