Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed upward trend in early hour of trading on Sunday, the opening session of the week.
Both bourses - the premier bourse Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw upward trend till the report was filing at 10:45am.
The key index of the DSE advanced 4.81 points, while the Selective Category Index of port city bourse gained 1.22 points within 15 minutes of the day’s trading at 10:45am.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 4.81 points or 0.10 percent to stand at 4,700 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The two other indices saw positive trend till then. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 1.67 points or 0.09 percent to reach at 1,780.38 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also gained 0.69 points or 0.06 percent to stand at 1,126.55 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 332 million when the report was filed at 10:45am, riding on the Evince Textiles and MJL Bangladesh.
Of the issues traded till then, 107 advanced, 49 declined and 24 issues remained unchanged.
Evince Textiles dominated the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 19 million changing hands till then, followed by MJL Bangladesh, Bangladesh Building Systems, Paramount Textile and Yeakin Polymer.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse CSE also saw positive trend till then with its Selective Category Index- CSCX–advancing 1.22 points to stand at 8,787.08 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 34 gained, 23 declined and 06 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 15 million.
