Bangladesh’s stocks open positive

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went up by 7.73 points or 0.17 percent to stand at 4,386.07 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filled at 11am.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 180 million when the report was filed at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 101 advanced, 27 declined and 41 remained unchanged.

Square Pharma was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 16 million changing hands till then followed by Lafarge Surma Cement, BSCCL, GP and EHL.

The port city bourse –the CSE also saw positive trend at opening with its Selective Category Index – CSCX gained 22.62 points to stand at 8,440.05 points, also at 11am.

Of the issues traded till then, 35 gained, 18 declined and 7 remained unchanged with a turnover value of only BDT 8.69 million.
