Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened upward trend in early hours of trading on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 26.60 points or 0.59 percent to stand at 4,475.18 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 459 million when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded till then, 102 advanced, 28 declined and 37 remained unchanged.

GP was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 88.83 million changing hands till then followed by Delta Life Insurance, Lafarge Surma Cement, Wata Chemical and BSCCL.

The port city bourse –the CSE – also saw positive trend at opening with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – gained 42.62 points to stand at 8,510.82 points, also at 11:00am.

Of the issues traded till then, 31 gained, 10 declined and 7 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 18.75 million.
