Bangladesh’s stocks open positive

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened positive in early hours of trading on Tuesday, the third trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 11.65 points or 0.26 percent to stand at 4,459.11 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 2.40 points or 0.14 percent to reach at 1,640.87 points.

DSEX Shariah Index (DSES) gained 3.08 points or 0.30 percent to stands at 1010.09 points.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 405 million when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded till then, 100 advanced, 40 declined and 36 issues remain unchanged.

The port city bourse - the CSE - also saw positive trend at opening with its Selective Category Index - CSCX - gained 9.99 points to stand at 8,496.93 points, also at 11:00am.

Of the issues traded till then, 28 gained, 24 declined and 5 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 16.32 million.
