Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed upward trend in early hours of trading on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 26.42 points or 0.59 percent to stand at 4,445.21 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 13.11 points or 0.80 percent to reach at 1,638.44 points.

DSEX Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 8.52 points or 0.84 percent to stands at 10111.84 points.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 650 million when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded till then, 126 advanced, 40 declined and 44 issues remain unchanged.

The port city bourse – the CSE –  also saw positive trend at opening with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 25.24 points to stand at 8,461.16 points, also at 11:00am.

Of the issues traded till then, 30 gained, 15 declined and 13 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 14.68 million.
