Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Monday, the second trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 33.14 points or 0.75 percent to stand at 4,394.73 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 12.82 points or 0.79 percent to reach at 1,631.02 points.

DSEX Shariah Index (DSES) also advanced 10.71 points or 1.06 percent to stands at 1,018.43 points.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 368 million when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded till then, 99 advanced, 29 declined and 35 issues remain unchanged.

BSRM Steels Ltd was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 66 million changing hands till then followed by GP, Lafarge Surma Cement, Square Pharma and Mithun Knitting.

The port city bourse – the CSE – also  saw positive trend at opening with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 31.39 points to stand at 8,341.14 points, also at 11:00am.

Of the issues traded till then, 26 gained, 10 declined and 9 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 14.79 million.
