Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went up by 32.08 points or 0.74 percent to stand at 4,354.34 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 12.83 points or 0.80 percent to reach at 1,606.71 points. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) went up by 6.96 points or 0.70 percent to stands at 995.75 points.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 244.63 million when the report was filed at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 107 advanced, 15 declined and 24 issues remain unchanged.

Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Ltd (BSCCL) was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 45 million changing hands till then followed by Lafarge Surma Cement, Beximco, ACI and UCBL.

The port city bourse – the CSE also saw positive trend at opening with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – gained 38.47 points to stand at 8,273.04 points, also at 11am.

Of the issues traded till then, 32 gained, 11 declined and 5 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 27.44 million.
