Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) -The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Sunday amid modest see-saw, the first trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went up by 5.78 points or 0.13 per ent to stand at 4,441.99 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 4.23 points or 0.26 percent to reach at 1,626.09 points. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) went up by 1.84 points or 0.18 percent to stands at 1,004.75 points.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 335 million when the report was filed at 11am.

Of the issues traded till then, 90 advanced, 47 declined and 19 issues remained unchanged.

Beximco Limited was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 58 million changing hands till then followed by Appollo Ispat, Peninsula Chittagong, BD Building and Generation Next Fashion.

The port city bourse – the CSE also saw positive trend at opening with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – gained 7.54 points to stand at 8,470.78 points, also at 11am.

Of the issues traded till then, 27 gained, 16 declined and 8 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 37.72 million.
