Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Share prices on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Tuesday, the fourth trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went up by 16.72 points or 0.35 per cent to stand at 4,703.91 points after first 30 minutes of trade at 11am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 2.36 points or 0.13 per cent to reach at 1,704.61 points. DSEX Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 3.26 points or 0.32 per cent to stands at 1,004.78 points.

The turnover value on DSE stands at BDT 581 million when the report was filed at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 111 advanced, 63 declined and 28 remained unchanged.

Southeast Bank was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 80.18 million changing hands till then followed by Square Pharma, Lafarge Surma Cement, BSCCL and ICB.

The port city bourse – the CSE also witnessed positive trend at opening amid volatility, with its Selective Category Index — CSCX gained 15.32points or 0.15 per cent to stand at 9,207.56 points, also at 11am.

Of the issues traded till then, 39 gained, 34 declined and 13 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 65.22 million.
