Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Monday, the second trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 18.53 points or 0.42 percent to stand at 4,362.89 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 8.97 points or 0.56 percent to reach at 1,604.24 points.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) went up by 5.37 points or 0.54 percent to stands at 995.63 points.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 202 million when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded till then, 88 advanced, 30 declined and 26 issues remained unchanged.

Beximco Limited was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 35.42 million changing hands till then followed by Olympic, Square Pharma, Appollo Ispat and Eastern Housing Ltd.

The port city bourse – the CSE – also opened with positive trend with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 15.0 points to stand at 8,308.10 points, also at 11:00am.

Of the issues traded till then, 20 gained, 4 declined and 6 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 8.15 million.
