Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 19.02 points or 0.43 percent to stand at 4,381.81 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 7.97 points or 0.50 percent to reach at 1,602.91 points.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 3.82 points or 0.38 percent to stands at 996.24 points.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 320 million when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded till then, 111 advanced, 22 declined and 21 issues remained unchanged.

Beximco Limited was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 76.41 million changing hands till then followed by GP, Lafarge Surma Cement, Square Pharma and BSRM Steels.

The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 12.25 points to stand at 8,303.70 points, also at 11:00am.

Of the issues traded till then, 34 gained, 15 declined and 9 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 43.73 million.
