Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 10.17 points or 0.23 percent to stand at 4,399.52 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 3.65 points or 0.22 percent to reach at 1,608.78 points.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 1.28 points or 0.12 percent to stands at 1,002.82 points.

DSE turnover stands at TB DT330 million when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded till then, 96 advanced, 27 declined and 38 issues remained unchanged.

Newly listed Shahjibazar Power was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 74.88 million changing hands till then followed by Beximco, GP, FAR Chemical and MJL BD.

The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 0.39 points to stand at 8,332.90 points, also at 11:00am.

Of the issues traded till then, 22 gained, 18 declined and 6 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 26.62 million.
