Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, went up by 14.37 points or 0.32 percent to stand at 4,388.56 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 5.71 points or 0.35 percent to reach at 1,596.92 points.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 1.25 points or 0.12 per cent to stands at 985.52 points.

DSE turnover stands at Tk 432 million when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded till then, 108 advanced, 26 declined and 35 issues remained unchanged.

Beximco Limited the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 150.73 million changing hands till then followed by Shahjibazar Power, Peninsula Chittagong, Square Pharma and BSC.

The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – went up by 5.07 points to stand at 8,296.76 points, also at 11:00am.

Of the issues traded till then, 28 gained, 20 declined and 9 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 42 million.
