Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw upward trend in early hours of trading on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 19.41 points or 0.44 percent to stand at 4,414.36 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 11.48 points or 0.71 percent to reach at 1,617.12 points.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) went up by 3.04 points or 0.30 percent to stands at 994.75 points.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 600 million when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded till then, 124 advanced, 42 declined and 33 issues remained unchanged.

GP was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 152 million changing hands till then followed by Beximco, Golden Son, SPCL and Active Fine.

The port city bourse – the CSE – also opened saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 25.66 points to stand at 8,370.78 points, also at 11:00am.

Of the issues traded till then, 34 gained, 23 declined and 6 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 43 million.
