Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw upward trend in early hours of trading on Monday, the second trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 25.35 points or 0.57 percent to stand at 4,445.96 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 13.94 points or 0.85 percent to reach at 1,645.04 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced by 9.31 points or 0.92 percent to stands at 1,017.56 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 782 million when the report was filed.
Of the issues traded till then, 106 advanced, 50 declined and 34 issues remained unchanged.
Lafarge Surma Cement was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 71.14 million changing hands till then followed by ACI, Peninsula Chittagong, Shahjibazar Power Company and MJL BD.
The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw positive trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 35.07 points to stand at 8,406.28 points, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 34 gained, 18 declined and 7 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 37.95 million.
