Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 23.80 points or 0.52 percent to stand at 4,588.94 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 14.49 points or 0.85 percent to reach at 1,715.95 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced by 4.37 points or 0.41 percent to stands at 1,065.02 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 1.14 billion when the report was filed.
Of the issues traded till then, 116 advanced, 53 declined and 37 issues remain unchanged.
Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 108 million changing hands till then followed by BSCCL, Active Fine, Lafarge Surma Cement and MJL BD.
The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw positive trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 22.54 points to stand at 8,652.11 points, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 36 gained, 25 declined and 14 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 62.80 million.
