Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hour of trading on Monday, after previous day’s steep fall.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 25.20 points or 0.61 percent to reach at 4,119.68 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The two other indices also saw positive trend.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 10.94 points or 0.70 percent to reach at 1,569.08 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) rose 8.97 points or 0.89 percent to stand at 1,013.31 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 482 million when the report was filed at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 120 advanced, 40 declined 19 issues remain unchanged.
BSRM, which made trading debut today was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 211 million changing hands till then followed by United Power, BSCCL, Western Marine and KPCL.
The port city bourse-the CSE-also saw positive trend in early hours of trading with its Selective Category Index-CSCX-gained 24.59 points to stand at 7,672.66 points, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 36 gained, 28 declined and 9 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 67 million.
