Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 29.71 points or 0.65 percent to stand at 4,556.92 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 13.53 points or 0.79 percent to reach at 1,706.56 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced by 9.65 points or 0.91 percent to stands at 1,060.40 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 978 million when the report was filed at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 122 advanced, 26 declined and 34 issues remain unchanged.
GP was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 148 million changing hands till then followed by Square Pharma, MJL BD, Paramount Textile and Makson Spinning.
The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw positive trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index – CSCX– gained 24.63 points to stand at 8,588.83 points, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 48 gained, 19 declined and 7 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 52 million.
