Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw upward trend in early hours of trading on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 12.21 points or 0.26 percent to stand at 4,566.07 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 3.08 points or 0.17 percent to reach at 1,730.80 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced by 1.21 points or 0.11 percent to stands at 1,067.36 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 657 billion when the report was filed.
Of the issues traded till then, 111advanced, 38 declined and 38 issues remain unchanged.
MJL BD was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 125 million changing hands till then followed by KPPL and BeximcSC.
The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw positive trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 11.79 points to stand at 8,565.21 points, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 44 gained, 18 declined and 13 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 50.72 million.
