Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed positive trend in early hours of trading on Monday, the second trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went up by 15.96 points or 0.35 percent to stand at 4,565.48 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips advanced 8.44 points or 0.49 percent to reach at 1,722.26 points. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) gained 5.29 points or 0.50 percent to stands at 1,062.34 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 652 million when the report was filed at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 84 advanced, 44 declined and 34 issues remain unchanged.
Tung Hai Knitting & Dyeing, which made debut today, was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 115 million changing hands till then followed by GP, ACI, KPPL and Beximco.
The port city bourse – the CSE also saw positive trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index -- CSCX – gained 45.98 points to stand at 8,630.00 points, also at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 20 gained, 26 declined and 13 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 52 million.
