Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks saw upward trend in early hour of trading on Wednesday amid marginal volatility, the fourth trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 10.65 points or 0.23 percent to reach at 4,575.89, after first 30 minutes of trade, when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 4.49 points or 0.25 percent to stand at 1,786.64.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 3.92 points or 0.35 percent to stand at 1,124.21.
DSE turnover stands at only BDT 730 million when the report was filed at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 139 advanced, 71 declined and 44 issues remained unchanged.
Appollo Ispat was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 52 million changing hands followed by Olympic Accessories, ACI, Beximco Pharma and Beximco.
The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw positive trend in early hour of trading with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 19.00 points to stand at 8,566.37, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 66 gained, 32 declined and 14 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 53 million.
