Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks saw upward trend in early hour of trading on Tuesday, maintaining the previous session’s upward movement.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 29.92 points or 0.61 per cent to reach at 4,892.48, after first 30 minutes of trade, when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 11.94 points or 0.63 per cent to stand at 1,913.44. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) rose 7.70 points or 0.64 per cent to stand at 1,210.82.
Turnover on the DSE stands at BDT 1.56 billion when the report was filed at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 178 advanced, 56 declined and 31 issues remained unchanged.
United Airways was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 145 million changing hands followed by Islami Bank, Lafarge Surma Cement, Familytex and BSRM Steels.
The port city bourse – the CSE also saw upward trend in early hour of trading with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – gained 31.29 points to stand at 9,108, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 77 gained, 30 declined and 16 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 85 million.
