Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed positive trend in early hours of trading on Tuesday, the third trading session of the week.
The prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX), went up by 8.62 points or 0.18 per cent to reach at 4,800.54, after first 15 minutes of trading, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The two other indices also saw positive trend.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 3.86 points or 0.21 per cent to stand at 1,833.33.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 1.68 points or 0.14 per cent to reach at 1,179.55.
Turnover on DSE stands at BDT 311 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 103 advanced, 50 declined and 47 issues remained unchanged.
United Airways was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 68 million changing hands followed by BSRM, Aman Feed, Emerald Oil and Aramit Cement.
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – also saw positive trend in early hour of trading with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 14.02 points to stand at 8,950.06, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 26 gained, 20 declined and 6 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 19 million.
