Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)–Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed positive trend in early hour of trading on Tuesday with marginal volatility, the third session of the week.
After 15 minutes of the day’s trading, DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 6.58 points or 0.14 percent to reach at 4,782.74, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, rose 3.25 points or 0.17 percent to stand at 1,816.84.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 0.81 points or 0.07 percent to reach at 1,144.99.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 224 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 89 advanced, 32 declined and 41 issues remained unchanged.
Brac Bank was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 29 million changing hands followed by BSRM Steels, Emerald Oil, BSCCL and Lafarge Surma Cement.
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – gaining 10.21 points to stand at 8,923.15, also at 10.45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 22 gained, 9 declined and 14 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 12 million.
