Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed positive trend in early hour of trading on Wednesday, the fourth trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, experienced upward trend.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gained 9.62 points while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 4.65 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 9.62 points or 0.20 per cent to reach at 4,631.30, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 3.32 points or 0.18 percent to stand at 1,758.09.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 1.51 points or 0.13 per cent to reach at 1,117.30.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 391 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 121 advanced, 32 declined and 31 issues remained unchanged.
Beximco Pharma was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 34 million changing hands followed by Far Chemical, Delta Life Insurance, Active Fines and KDS Accessories.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse- the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive in early hour of trading with its Selective Category Index- CSCX- gaining 4.65 points to stand at 8,601.52, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 32 gained, 13 declined and 7 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 14 million.
