Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed positive trend in early hour of trading on Thursday, the last trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, experienced upward trend.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gained 12.52 points while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 13.86 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 12.52 points or 0.27 per cent to reach at 4,632.03 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 4.29 points or 0.24 per cent to stand at 1,761.45.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 4.14 points or 0.28 per cent to reach at 1,118.49.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 485 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 108 advanced, 30 declined and 34 issues remained unchanged.
MJL BD was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 31 million changing hands followed by BSRM Steels, Beximco Pharma, KPCL and MI Cement.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse- the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive in early hour of trading with its Selective Category Index- CSCX- gaining 13.86 points to stand at 8,610.49, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 33 gained, 22 declined and 15 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 21 million.
