Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks saw positive trend in early hour of trading on Wednesday amid modest volatility, the fourth trading day of the week.
After 15 minutes of the day’s trading, DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 3.90 points or 0.08 percent to reach at 4,597.39 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 1.81 points or 0.10 percent to stand at 1,751.05.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 1.31 points or 0.11 percent to reach at 1,107.88.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 373 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 105 advanced, 57 declined and 38 issues remained unchanged.
Quasem Drycells was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 35 million changing hands followed by Aftab Automobiles, Keya Cosmetics, Apex Tannery and Delta Life Insurance.
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive in early hour of trading with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – gaining 26.51 points to stand at 8,560.99, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 36 gained, 12 declined and 7 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT14 million.
