Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks saw positive trend in early hour of trading on Sunday with volatility, the opening trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, experienced upward trend.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gained 5.35 points while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 6.47 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 5.35 points or 0.11 per cent to reach at 4,588.77 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 3.21 points or 0.18 per cent to stand at 1,744.30.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 1.12 points or 0.10 per cent to reach at 1,106.49.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 199 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 71 advanced, 48 declined and 38 issues remained unchanged.
BSRM Steels was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 22 million changing hands followed by MI Cement, Delta Life Insurance, Quasem Drycells and Lafarge Surma Cement.
The port city bourse- the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive in early hour of trading with its Selective Category Index- CSCX- gaining 6.47 points to stand at 8,511.52, also at 10.45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 20 gained, 12 declined and 6 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 7.0 million.
