Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks opened with a positive trend with marginal volatility on Wednesday, the fourth trading session of the week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) advanced 12.32 points while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 9.77 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 12.32 points or 0.26 per cent to at 4,609.13 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 4.69 points or 0.27 percent to stand at 1,746.95 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 3.07 points or 0.28 per cent to reach at 1,105.64.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 211 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 110 advanced, 27 declined and 43 issues remained unchanged.
BSRM Steels was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 27 million changing hands followed by Singer BD, BSRM, Atlas Bangladesh and Quasem Drycells.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX – gaining 9.77 points to stand at 8,543.26 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 25 gained, 5 declined 4 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 8.99 million.
