Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed positive trend in early hour of trading on Sunday amid volatility, the first trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 6.90 points or 0.14 per cent to reach at 4,799.21, after first 30 minutes of trade, when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 3.78 points or 0.20 per cent to stand at 1,887.69. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 1.18 points or 0.09 per cent to stand at 1,191.04.
Turnover on the DSE stands at BDT 1.25 billion when the report was filed at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 128 advanced, 69 declined and 41 issues remained unchanged.
Beximco Pharma was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 94 million changing hands followed by Lafarge Surma Cement, FAR Chemicals, BSRM and BSRM Steels.
The port city bourse – the CSE also saw positive trend in early hour of trading with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – gained 19.12 points to stand at 8,978.72, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 58 gained, 33 declined and 19 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 86 million.
