Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Wednesday, the fourth session of the week amid volatility.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 7.96 points or 0.15 percent to reach at 5,136.80 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 1.80 points or 0.14 percent to stand at 1,208.67 points.
However, the DS30 index, comprising blue chips lost 1.92 points or 0.09 percent to reach at 1,931.60 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 640 million when the report was filed at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 126 advanced, 51 declined and 23 issues remain unchanged.
Saif Powertec was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 95 million changing hands till then followed by ACI, SPCL, CVO Petrochemicals and GP.
The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw positive trend in early hours of trading with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 9.48 points to stand at 9,633.47 points, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 48 gained, 25 declined and 10 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 78 million.
