Bangladesh’s stocks open positive mood

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with positive trend volatility on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

Meanwhile, trading at the bourses started at 10:45am instead of 10:30am in observance of the National Mourning Day following Savar tragedy. The closing time (i.e., 2:30pm) shall not change.

The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went up by 5.94 points within first 15 minutes of trading to stand at 3,666.54 points at 11am when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded then, 66 advanced, 38 declined and 24 remained unchanged.

Turnover on the DSE turnover stood at BDT 102 million till the report was filed at 11am.Pubali Bank the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 50 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive trend with the Selective Category Index of the CSE gained 21 points to stand at 6,959 also at 11am.

Of the issues traded then, 19 advanced, 9 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
