Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks opened positive amid choppy trading on Thursday, the last trading session of the week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) advanced 6.21 points while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 4.12 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 6.21 points or 0.13 per cent to at 4,594.96 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 1.03 points or 0.05 percent to stand at 1,741.84 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 1.14 points or 0.10 percent to reach at 1,103.57.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 236 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 102 advanced, 31 declined and 19 issues remained unchanged.
M I Cement was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 18 million changing hands followed by Anlima Yarn and Dyeing, Titas Gas, Quasem Drycells and National Polymer.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX – gaining 4.12 points to stand at 8,512.89 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 26 gained, 12 declined 3 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 9.0 million only.
