Bangladesh’s stocks open red with high volatility

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed negative trend in early hour of trading on Sunday with high volatility, the opening trading session of the week.
Both bourses -- the premier bourse Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw negative trend till filed the report at 10:45am.
The key index of the DSE fell 1.58 points, while the Selective Category Index of port city bourse dropped 6.61 points within 15 minutes of the day’s trading at 10:45am.

DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 1.58 points or 0.04 percent to stand at 4,417.41 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, fell 2.09 points or 0.12 percent to reach at 1,735.96 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also lost 0.94 points or 0.08 percent to reach at 1,081.93 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 324 million when the report was filed at 10:45am, riding on the new issue ACME Laboratories,
Of the issues traded till then, 60 advanced, 31 declined and 35 issues remained unchanged.
The newly listed ACME Laboratories continued to top the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 100 million changing hands till then, followed by Orion Infusion, Shahjibazar Power, Linde Bangladesh and Aman Feed.

CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse CSE also saw negative trend till then with its Selective Category Index- CSCX– falling 6.61 points to stand at 8,267.72 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 23 gained, 21 declined 10 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 20 million.
