Bangladesh’s stocks open with at mix trend

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a mixed trend in the early hours on Wednesday.

The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went up by 12 points within 15 minutes but next 15 minutes it lost 18 points and within first 30 minutes of trading it stands at 3,692 points at 11am when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded then, 29 advanced, 108 declined and 36 remained unchanged.

Turnover on the DSE turnover stood at BDT 200 million till the report was filed at 11am.

Newly listed Bengal Windsor Thermoplastic topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 25 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also opened with a mixed trend and the Selective Category Index of the CSE lost 18 points to stand at 7,064 also at 11am.

Of the issues traded then, 18 advanced, 55 declined and 7 remained unchanged.
