Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the bourses— the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed upward trend at early hours on Thursday, the last trading session of the week.
The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went up by 61 points within first 30 minutes of trading at 11am to stand at 4,143 points when the report was filed.
Of the issues traded then, 216 advanced, 16 declined and 7 remained unchanged.
Turnover on at DSE stood at BDT 820 million till the report was filed at 11am.
United Airways is the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 60 million changing hands till then.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also opened with a positive note with the Selective Category Index of the CSE gained 100 points to stand at 7,686 points also at 11am.
Of the issues traded then, 98 advanced, 8 declined and 3 remained unchanged.
