Bangladesh’s stocks open with optimistic mood

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Share prices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a optimistic mood in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

The DSE general index, DGEN stands at 4,429 points after gaining 32 points or 0.73 per cent within first half an hour of trading at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 149 advanced, 26 declined and 26 remained unchanged.

Turnover stood at BDT 8823 million till the report was filed at 11am.

Beximco Limited topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 98 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange key index, CSCX gained 60 points or 0.70 per cent to stand at 8,636 points also at 11am. Of the issues traded then, 69 advanced, 23 declined and 10 remained unchanged till then.
