Bangladesh’s stocks open with positive mood

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Share prices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive note in early hours of trading on Tuesday.

The DSE general index, DGEN gained 22 points or 0.51 per cent to reach 4,376 points at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 149 advanced, 17 declined and 20 remained unchanged.

Turnover stood at BDT 545 million till the report was filed at 11am.

United Airways topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 80 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange key index, CSCX also gained 30 points or 0.35 per cent to stand at 8,533 points also at 11am. Of the issues traded then, 60 advanced, 17 declined and 16 remained unchanged till then.
