Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the bourses— the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed upward trend at early hours on Monday after three consecutive sessions fall.

The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went up by 26.50 points within first 30 minutes of trading at 11am to stand at 3,921.51 points when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded then, 120 advanced, 14 declined and 10 remained unchanged.

Turnover on at DSE stood at BDT 145 million till the report was filed at 11am.

Orion Pharma is the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 32 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also opened with a positive note with the Selective Category Index of the CSE gained 62 points to stand at 7,323 points also at 11am.

Of the issues traded then, 49 advanced, 7 declined and 7 remained unchanged.
