Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the bourses— the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed upward trend at early hours on Tuesday after previous session’s mild correction.
The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went up by 21.06 points within first 30 minutes of trading at 11am to stand at 4,394.68 points when the report was filed.
Of the issues traded then, 144 advanced, 37 and 21 remained unchanged.
Turnover on at DSE stood at BDT 895 million till the report was filed at 11am.
Newly listed Familytex BD is the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 220 million changing hands till then.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also opened with a positive note with the Selective Category Index of the CSE gained 23.71 points to stand at 8,230.21 points also at 11am.
Of the issues traded then, 58 advanced, 22 declined and 10 remained unchanged.
