Bangladesh’s stocks open with positive mood

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive trend amid volatility at early hours on Monday.

The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went up by 19.58 points within first 30 minutes of trading at 11am to stand at 4,578.46 points when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded then, 117 advanced, 79 declined and 32 remained unchanged.

Turnover on at DSE stood at BDT 1.93 billion till the report was filed at 11am.

United Airways was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 315 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive note with the Selective Category Index of the CSE gained 4.40 points to stand at 8,420.26 points also at 11am.

Of the issues traded then, 59 advanced, 51 declined and 15 remained unchanged.
