Bangladesh’s stocks open with positive mood

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the both bourses---Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange started with a positive trend early hour on Tuesday, after sixth session falling trend.

The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DGEN) gained 39 points within first 15 minutes to stand at 4,133 points at 10.45am when the report was filed.

Turnover on the premier bourse and stood at BDT 267 million till the report was filed at 10.45am.

Of the issues traded then, 111 advanced, 3 declined and 5 remained unchanged.

Pubali Bank Limited topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 100 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive trend and the Selective Category Index of the CSE stands at 8,051 points after gaining 74 points within first 15 minutes of trading.

Of the issues traded then, advanced 40, 4 declined and 16 remained unchanged.

On Monday, the DGEN finished at 4,093.28 points, after losing 51 points while the CSE Selective Categories Index lost 100 points to close at 7,973.70 points.
