Bangladesh’s stocks open with positive mood

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Share price index at the country’s both bourses –Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) –-opened with a positive mood on Thursday amid countrywide hartal for second day.

The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 21.60 points to reach 4137.77 at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 128 gained, 64 declined and 34 remained unchanged.

Turnover value stood at BDT 787 million till then with BSC topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 63 million changing hands at 11am.

The CSE key index, CSCX also gained 9.48 points to stand at 8039.42 points, also at 11am on Thursday. Of the issues traded till then, 46 gained, 43 declined and 11 remained unchanged.
