Bangladesh’s stocks open with positive note

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Share prices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive mood in early hours of trading on Monday despite countrywide hartal.

The DSE general index, DGEN stands at 4,392.22 points after gaining 17.98 points or 0.41 per cent within first 15 minutes of trading at 10.45am. Of the issues traded till then, 89 advanced, 13 declined and 6 remained unchanged.

Turnover stood at BDT 250 million till the report was filed at 10.45am.

Pubali Bank Limited topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 60.52 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange key index, CSCX gained 20 points or to stand at 8,572 points also at 10.45am. Of the issues traded then, 33 advanced, 12 declined and 8 remained unchanged till then.
