Bangladesh’s stocks open with positive trend

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive trend amid fluctuation in the early hours on Sunday, the opening day of the week.

The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went up by 4.01 points within first 30 minutes of trading amid fluctuation to stand at 3,711.50 points at 11am when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded then, 92 advanced, 36 declined and 26 remained unchanged.

Turnover on the DSE turnover stood at BDT 201 million till the report was filed at 11am.

Newly listed Bengal Windsor Thermoplastic topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 58 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also opened with a mixed trend and the Selective Category Index of the CSE gained 6 points to stand at 7,055 also at 11am.
Of the issues traded then, 31 advanced, 34 declined and 7 remained unchanged.
