Bangladesh’s stocks up at opening

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed positive trend in early hour of trading on Tuesday, the third trading session of the week.
Both bourses -- the premier bourse Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw upward trend till filed the report at 10:45am.
The key index of the DSE advanced 11.73 points, while the Selective Category Index of port city bourse gained 21.48 points within 15 minutes of the day’s trading at 10:45am.

DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 11.73 points or 0.27 percent to stand at 4,417.13 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 10.44 points or 0.60 percent to reach at 1,746.96 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also gained 3.45 points or 0.32 percent to reach at 1,088.65 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 208 million when the report was filed at 10:45am, riding on Lafarge Surma Cement and the new issue ACME Laboratories,
Of the issues traded till then, 74 advanced, 37 declined and 43 issues remained unchanged.
Lafarge Surma Cement dominated the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 31 million changing hands till then, followed by ACME Laboratories, BSRM, Brac Bank and Khan Brothers PP Woven Bag Industries.

CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse CSE also saw positive trend till then with its Selective Category Index- CSCX– advancing 21.48 points to stand at 8,268.33 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 23 gained, 13 declined 10 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 12 million.
